Two ADLA Supported Bills Took Effect Aug 9th!

Two bills supported by ADLA and its partner groups became state law on Aug. 9th and will benefit animals throughout Arizona.

The Good Samaritan Hot Car Bill,  sponsored by Sen. John Kavanagh, aims to end hot car deaths by allowing good Samaritans to take action without risk of civil liability if they rescue a child or a pet from a hot car. ADLA and its partners with HLCA, the Humane Society of the US, and Don’t Leave Me.org led efforts to pass this life-saving bill.

The Spay Neuter Billsponsored by Rep. Drew John, allows Arizona residents to make a voluntary contribution through the tax check off program to fund much-needed, affordable spay/neuter services throughout Arizona. ADLA and its partners with HCLA* worked to get this important bill passed.
